About Tova

Dinner shouldn't feel like a second shift.

Tova exists because of one specific, universal moment: it's 18:00 on a Tuesday, everyone is hungry, the fridge holds half a bell pepper and a block of halloumi, and nobody — nobody — knows what's for dinner.

A family kitchen at 18:00 on a Tuesday: half a red pepper and a block of halloumi on the counter, a school bag on a chair
18:00, Tuesday. Half a pepper, a block of halloumi — and, with Tova, already a plan.

Why we built it

Most meal planning tools fall into one of two camps. Rigid fitness calculators that treat dinner as a macro problem, or beautiful gourmet food blogs whose "quick" recipes take ninety minutes and eleven pans. Neither knows what's already in your kitchen, what your seven-year-old refuses to eat, or what your grocery budget actually is.

So we built the thing we wanted: an intelligent kitchen brain that starts from what you already own. Tell Tova who's in your family, what they can and won't eat, and what you want to spend. It plans the week, checks your pantry, and writes the shopping list — in under two minutes.

What we believe

Empty plates and a nearly finished pot of stew on a family table after dinner
One table, one meal — and nobody cooked twice.

Who we are

Tova is built by Nexus Ventures, a small independent company in Belgium, for European families like the ones we come from. We ship carefully, plan around real supermarket prices, and read every piece of feedback that comes in.

Planned around how Europe really shops — the Saturday market, the discounter and the supermarket down the road.
